Every great construction project, large or small, starts out with solid ground works. Our TNS Ground Works team, based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, has years of experience in preparing sites and sub-surfaces as the first stage for any landscaping and building work.
We work with local builders and homeowners to carry out a variety of ground works services for all sorts of construction projects, from garden walls to drainage, driveways and home extensions.
Our professional team can undertake:
and much more!
We’re a local, independent business with a first-class reputation for carrying out groundworks and landscaping for residential clients in the Chippenham area. We’re equipped with the latest machinery and equipment, and are fully qualified to operate it, working within health and safety guidelines.
Most of our ground works are carried out in advance of our own construction contracts with local homeowners, such as installing patios, block paved driveways, garden walls, fencing, decking and lawn turfing. We are, however, available to undertake ground works for other local trades and construction companies, and private individuals.
When working on private property our friendly, reliable ground works team are ever mindful of the fact that they need to keep disruption to a minimum. We work as quickly and tidily as possible, leaving the site clean and clear, well finished and ready for a project to proceed.
As anyone involved in construction will tell you – well executed ground works are, quite literally, the foundation of a good, sturdy structure. Ground Works are thus a priority when it comes to budgeting for a build, no matter how small, if you want it to stand the test of time.
We understand how to “read” a site and assess the soil, the environment, the vegetation and various other factors that play a role in setting the ground work. Before we start any ground works, we make sure we have been briefed about the positioning of any underground utility installations, and things like trees with protection orders.
We are adept at marking out and digging foundations precisely according to plan to ensure they are perfectly calculated to carry the structure they are intended for.
Any excess soil or rubble is removed from the site and recycled elsewhere.
